Lion Dens are for children in kindergarten (or who are 6 years old). In a typical Lion Den, children will work on earning their Lion rank, which is the first rank in the Cub Scout program. The children will participate in a variety of activities designed to help them develop character, learn new skills, and have fun.
Some of the adventures that Lion Scouts might work on include:
"Lion's Den": This adventure helps the children learn about teamwork and cooperation. The children will work together to plan and carry out a service project, learning about different roles and responsibilities along the way.
"Lion's Pride": This adventure focuses on personal growth and self-esteem. The children will learn about positive character traits and will set personal goals to help them grow and develop.
"Lion's Roar": This adventure introduces the children to the concept of citizenship and how they can be good citizens in their community. The children will learn about different community helpers and will participate in a service project to give back to their community.
In addition to working on these adventures, Lion Scouts will also participate in den meetings and larger pack meetings, and may go on field trips and outings to learn about the world around them. The den leader will work with the children to plan and carry out these activities, and will help them track their progress and complete the requirements for earning their Lion rank.
