Tiger Dens are for children in the first grade (or who are 7 years old). In a typical Tiger Den, children will work on earning their Tiger rank, which is the secpond rank in the Cub Scout program. The children will participate in a variety of activities designed to help them develop character, learn new skills, and have fun.
Some of the adventures that Tiger Scouts might work on include:
"Tiger Bite": This adventure focuses on healthy eating and physical activity. The children will learn about different types of food and how to make healthy choices, and will participate in physical activities to help them stay active and fit.
"Tiger Circus": This adventure helps the children learn about teamwork and cooperation. The children will work together to plan and perform a mini-circus, learning about different circus skills and roles along the way.
"Tiger Safari": This adventure introduces the children to the concept of citizenship and how they can be good citizens in their community. The children will learn about different community helpers and will participate in a service project to give back to their community.
In addition to working on these adventures, Tiger Scouts will also participate in den meetings and larger pack meetings, and may go on field trips and outings to learn about the world around them. The den leader will work with the children to plan and carry out these activities, and will help them track their progress and complete the requirements for earning their Tiger rank.
