Webelos Dens are for children in the fourth grade (or who are 9 years old) who are working on earning their Webelos rank in the Cub Scout program. The children will participate in a variety of activities designed to help them develop character, learn new skills, and have fun.
Some of the adventures that Webelos 1 Scouts might work on include:
"Into the Wild": This adventure helps the children learn about the outdoors and the environment. The children will learn about different plants and animals, and will participate in activities to help them appreciate and care for the natural world.
"Building a Better World": This adventure helps the children learn about citizenship and service. The children will explore different ways they can make a positive impact in their community and will participate in a service project to give back.
"First Responder": This adventure helps the children learn about emergency preparedness and safety. The children will learn about different types of emergencies and how to respond, and will practice important safety skills.
In addition to working on these adventures, Webelos Scouts will also participate in den meetings and larger pack meetings, and may go on field trips and outings to learn about the world around them. The den leader will work with the children to plan and carry out these activities, and will help them track their progress and complete the requirements for earning their Webelos rank.
